The feedback from Cats fans on our social media channels after the win over Fremantle was simply sensational.

But it was this tweet that really caught our eye.

Paul's sentiments beautifully summed up what was great about the game from a Geelong perspective.

Sure, superstars Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood were brilliant as always, with Dangerfield's three goals during his stints up forward creating quite a talking point.

And Joel Selwood's winning record continues to amaze.

Established stars like Tom Hawkins, Andrew Mackie, Mitch Duncan and Steven Motlop were also sensational, as was Rhys Stanley in the ruck and gun recruit Zach Tuohy down back.

But perhaps the greatest thing to come out of the victory was the performance of some of the Cats' debutants and mid-tier players.

First-gamers Tom Stewart and Brandan Parfitt looked like they had been running around in the AFL for years, while Jordan Murdoch produced one of his best performances in the hoops.

George Horlin-Smith was also impressive in the midfield, while Nakia Cockatoo finished with only nine disposals but he did a lot of bullocking work and slotted an early contender for goal of the year.

Tom Ruggles and Josh Cowan were good down back and through the middle, while Linc McCarthy showed off his many tricks and finished with three goals.

Now you can cast your vote for the lesser-light who you believe had the greatest impact against Freo.
