Geelong’s Jake Kolodjashnij is being put through a belated pre-season regime as he looks to return from glandular fever.

Speaking on this week’s episode of the GHMBA Health Report, head physiotherapist Mark Young said the promising defender will be available soon.

“He [Kolodjashnij] had glandular fever before Christmas and wasn’t able to do much training.”

“In many ways he’s completing his pre-season now. He’s someone who … you’ll see pretty soon.”

In further good news, second-year rookie James Parsons has recovered from a foot fracture and is just days away from returning to the field.

“He [Parsons] had some surgery before Christmas for a fifth metatarsal fracture. That’s gone really well, he’s worked really hard in rehab and he’ll get to play his first game this weekend.”
