The Cats will be heading in both directions along the Princes Highway this week as part of the 2017 Australia Post AFL Community Camps program.

Players will be visiting the regional centre of Warrnambool in Victoria’s south-west as well as North Geelong and the surrounding suburbs this Thursday and Friday, 23-24th February.

The Australia Post AFL Community Camps started in 2003 and so far have reached a total of 1,118,278 students across 5,873 school visits since the program’s inception.

The Cats will visit schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, local sporting clubs as well as Geelong based organisation, Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-Op and community service, Diversitat over the two days.

Geelong Cats captain Joel Selwood will travel to Warrnambool as part of the Australia Post AFL Community Camp and said the entire playing group was excited to get out into the Warrnambool and Geelong communities.

“The annual Australia Post AFL Community Camp is always a great way for us to get involved in regional communities far and wide,” Selwood said.

“It give us the opportunity to meet and spend time with our members and fans, it’s always a fun couple of days so we can’t wait.”

In previous years the Cats have held camps in Shepparton, Corowa, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast.
