The 2017 Peter Jackson VFL season fixture has been revealed, with the Bendigo Bank VFL Cats set to begin their season on Easter Sunday against Werribee.

That match will be considered an away game held at Torquay’s Spring Creek Reserve, before the Cats return home to Simonds Stadium in round two to face Port Melbourne.

Overall, the VFL Cats will play 13 matches on a Saturday, five Sunday matches and two night games. Two matches will also be broadcast on Channel Seven, with the host broadcaster set to add further televised games to its schedule in the coming months.

The Cats will play off in two modified curtain raisers to AFL games and an encore game.

In round five of the VFL season, Geelong will face Essendon at Windy Hill from 12pm before the AFL’s Saturday night Country Program fixture featuring the Cats and Bombers at the MCG.

Round 15 will see the VFL Cats tackle the Northern Blues at IKON Park in another Saturday afternoon clash ahead of that evening’s Geelong versus Carlton match at Etihad Stadium; while round 18 features the VFL side in a 5pm encore match at Olympic Park Oval against Collingwood. That game will follow the conclusion of the AFL fixture between the two clubs at the MCG.
