The Cats first game at Simonds Stadium for season 2017 will come in round 9 against the reigning premier the Western Bulldogs and will mark the unveiling of the new $91 million Brownlow Stand and stage four stadium redevelopment.

That game will begin a run of three home games at the venue, as the Cats host Port Adelaide in round 10 and Adelaide a week later in round 11.

Fremantle will travel east in round 14 for a Sunday afternoon match up before a five and a half week wait for the Swans to fly south in round 20.

Round 21 will welcome Richmond to Simonds Stadium after a five year absence for a traditional Saturday afternoon clash and the home away season will draw to a close in round 23 against the Giants.
