In their 14 seasons together, Jimmy Bartel and Corey Enright have achieved something few others have.

Three premierships; a Brownlow Medal, a Norm Smith and two club best and fairest awards amongst a collective seven All-Australian team selections – they are indeed two of the most decorated players in Geelong and VFL/AFL history.

But together, they have enjoyed an enviable period of success that now places them second overall for most wins ever as teammates.

As pointed out by Channel Seven’s master statistician “Swamp”, last Friday night’s victory over the Western Bulldogs marks win number 186 for Bartel and Enright as a duo and moves them some 10 wins clear of Carlton greats Craig Bradley and Stephen Silvagni.

With four games left in the 2016 premiership season, the Cats would need to win those remaining games and win three finals to for Bartel and Enright to draw level with Richmond’s Kevin Bartlett and Francis Bourke on 193 wins.

If they are to break the record though, Geelong would need to play in and win an elimination final, a semi final, preliminary final and the grand final.

Regardless of what happens now and into the future, it is a remarkable feat from two of football’s best.
