Chris Scott has flagged the possibility of bringing Josh Caddy straight back into the Cats' AFL side for the round 19 clash with the Western Bulldogs at Simonds Stadium.

The 23-year-old has all but recovered from the knee injury that has sidelined him since the win over the Dogs in round 13.

On the latest episode of Tweet The Coach, brought to you by Momentum Energy, Scott was asked: "How long before Caddy is back playing senior footy?"

He replied: "We're really optimistic about Cadds. He'll be available next week, so it's not out of the question that he might come straight back into the team.

"Given that we have 42, 43 players to pick from at the moment, and Cadds has been out for a while, if he does come back in it will speak to how highly we rate him and how important we think he is."
