We continue our review of each player's season so far with a look from Jordan Cunico to Mark Blicavs...

31. Jordan Cunico

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
0

Yet to play football at any level in 2016 following ongoing knee troubles. Underwent surgery in May and is hoped to take to the field before the season is out.

32. Steven Motlop

AFL games: 14
VFL games: 0

Enjoyed career-best form and brought up his 100th game in round 12, but has tapered off the past month. Will need to lift his output if the Cats are to go deep into September; currently averaging 19 disposals and 1 goal a game.

33. George Horlin-Smith

AFL games: 1
VFL games:
4

Praised for his leadership and ball-winning ability at VFL level to begin the season and was rewarded with a senior game against Collingwood in round nine but failed to hold his spot. Currently recovering from a knee injury.

34. James Parsons

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
9

Impressing at VFL level in an array of positions though playing predominantly forward of centre – with six goals to his tally. Was named best afield with a 19-disposal performance against the AFL Academy side in the final pre-season match.

35. Patrick Dangerfield

AFL games: 14
VFL games:
0

What can you say that hasn’t already been said? Favourite for the Brownlow, favourite for the Carji and a walk-up start for All-Australian selection. Averaging 31 disposals and is a metres-gained machine with nearly 2km more than the next best league-wide.

36. Tom Ruggles

AFL games: 10
VFL games:
0

Took one just one pre-season to be elevated from the rookie list and debut against Brisbane in round four. The small defender has played every game since (except round 13 as a late withdrawal) and put in his best performance last week against St Kilda. Averaging 15 disposals and growing with each outing.

37. Michael Luxford

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
10

Has taken his game to another level in the VFL this season and demonstrating good leadership. Playing more through the midfield, Luxford has been named in the best four times and become one of the most consistent performers for the VFL Cats. Ready to be called upon.

38. Tom Read

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
0

Unsighted at any level due to injury but the wheels look to be finally turning in the 200cm giant’s recovery. Should see some action in 2016.

39. Shane Kersten

AFL games: 13
VFL games:
0

The sharpshooter is rated highly within the inner sanctum for his defensive and team efforts. Has played pivotal roles on the likes of Josh Gibson and Heath Shaw whilst kicking 21 goals in 13 games. Stood up in the absence of Tom Hawkins against North Melbourne and will want to continue with those kind of performances.

40. Jackson Thurlow

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
0

The heartbreak story of 2016 for the Cats. Has undergone a full knee construction following injury in the NAB Challenge but tracking well in his recovery and always extremely positive. Will be ready to pick up from where he left off in 2017.

42. Padraig Lucey

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
9

The Irishman has really come on in his second season with the Cats. Named in the best for the VFL side three times and booted 8 goals including three in a crucial win over Frankston.

43. Zac Bates

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
3

Managed three games in the VFL before going down with a quad injury. Listed as 4-6 weeks away from a return but will be back in time for the pointy end of the season.

44. Corey Enright

AFL games: 13
VFL games:
0

The 322-gamer is on the verge of breaking the Cats’ all-time games record and showing no signs of slowing down while he’s at it. Will be right up there in for the club best and fairest, if not All-Australian honours, and remains one of the most loved and most important players in hoops.

45. Cameron Delaney

AFL games: 0
VFL games:
0

Has turned a corner in his recovery from persistent knee injuries and should see some action later this year.

46. Mark Blicavs

AFL games: 14
VFL games:
0

The 2016 Carji Greeves medallist has embraced a new role which sees him predominantly worked through the midfield. His tackling ability and presence around the contest have been the best aspects of his game thus far and will now look to increasing his 17 disposal per game average.
