Jimmy Bartel was the only Geelong player to poll a vote in the AFL Coaches' Association Player of the Year award after the Cats' loss to Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday.

Bartel polled one vote.

Magpies skipper Scott Pendlebury and midfielder Steele Sidebottom both polled nine votes, while Adam Treloar received five.

Cats star Patrick Dangerfield has relinquished the lead in the award after failing to poll a vote on the weekend.

He has been overtaken by North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein.
