Pacy utility Jordan Cunico is leaving no stone unturned in his second pre-season with the Cats, as he looks to go one better in 2016 for an AFL debut.

The 19-year-old sustained a knee injury in in May last year but returned strongly to push his case at the selection table and was named emergency for the final game of the season in round 23.

“Being named emergency in the last game, I thought, really gave me a lot of experience coming into this year,” Cunico said.

“I think just building on that this year will really help me.”

Cunico says it’s consistency in training and hard work in the gym that will take him to the next level.

“[I’m] trying to get every training session in every week … and eventually hopefully break into the side – which is my main aim this year.

“I’ve been working pretty close with the strength and conditioning coaches throughout the pre-season … they’ve really helped me try and put on a few kilos this year, hopefully that will really help me.”
