Speedy Geelong midfielder Darcy Lang will represent the Cats in the 2015 AFL Grand Final sprint.

Lang will compete for glory in the traditional half-time race over 100m across the MCG.

The Cats are the reigning champions of the sprint with Jordan Murdoch winning the 2014 race. He ended Patrick Dangerfield’s three-year dominance of the race with a blistering run.

Ruckman Rhys Stanley is also a past winner of the race, winning as a St Kilda player in 2009.

The final of the race will be at half time of the grand final with the heats to gain entry to the final conducted prior to the game.
