31. Jordan Cunico
His development was really pleasing, particularly in the 2nd half of the VFL season. He didn’t quite manage to squeeze into our AFL side, but he nearly got there in the last couple of rounds. He’ll get fitter and stronger over the pre-season, and I think we’ll start to see his football ability come to the fore next year.

32. Steven Motlop
A slowish start to the year not helped by a hindered pre-season. Mots really found his form in the second half of the year. When he is running the ball and tackling and distributing the ball into the forward line you know the Cats are in for a good game.

33. George Horlin-Smith
George had a frustrating year in 2015 where injuries really interrupted his season. However, when he got back into the AFL team late in the season, it was evident that his poise, leadership and football ability where there for all to see. A thorough pre-season should enable his determination to succeed to shine through.

34. Josh Walker
A powerful mark, in 2015 Walks showed that he had further improved his game and held his position in the team in the latter half of the season. Walks complemented Tom Hawkins in the forward line, highlighted by a bag of 5 goals against Brisbane.

35. Jarrad Jansen
Jans has a great ability to win the hard contested ball and take the tackle on. He added another string to his bow this year and transferred these skills from the midfield to the forward line, where he marked the ball well.

37. Michael Luxford (rookie)
Having transferred across from basketball, it was a great achievement for Lux to play 2 AFL games in only his second year on the rookie list. Lux plays with speed and great vision, which helps him use the ball really well, especially in close.

38. Tom Read (rookie)
Ready showed a natural ability to play forward and Ruck, especially in the first half of 2015. Tom was rested late in the season with an eye on developing him for 2016. Tom will hopefully come into the 2016 bigger and stronger which will set him up well for the rigours of key position play.

39. Shane Kersten
Shane played 11 games this year and once again displayed the power and talent we have seen previously on the forward line. Shane is a wonderful kick and is a natural forward. His consistency in performance dropped away a little late in the season and we hope with natural development over the pre-season Shane will cement his position in the side.

40. Jackson Thurlow
Jackson was having a tremendous pre-season until sustaining a serious internal injury around Xmas. Once fully recovered, he returned to the AFL team and his versatility to play half-back or wing was a great asset for Geelong. Jackson continued on with his development from last year, had a career-high 30 possessions against Collingwood in round 6 and with a full pre-season we have high expectations for Jacko in 2016.

42. Padraig Lucey (rookie)
Padraig showed steady improvement across the 2015 season and tasted AFL football in the first round of the NAB Challenge. Padraig has shown an appetite to work and learn and this has helped him advance his career so far and will continue to do so in the future.

43. Zac Bates (rookie)
Zac missed a chunk of football through the middle of the season. However when he played he displayed his speed, class and ability in the forward half of the ground. With further improvement and continuity on the training track, Zac will be pushing for AFL selection early in 2016.

44. Corey Enright
It was another very solid year from our general down back. Corey’s leadership and football knowledge is invaluable for our playing group, and we look forward to Corey continuing his amazing career next year.

45. Cameron Delaney (rookie)
Cam returned from a lengthy injury forced lay off late in the VFL season. Cam showed great poise down back and we look forward to Cam having a wonderful pre-season and displaying his talent in 2016.

46. Mark Blicavs
Blitz had a fantastic year. In fact, he’s had a fantastic three years at our footy club. He’s come on in leaps and bounds. He trained a bit down back during the pre-season, but ended up playing through the midfield and in the ruck when we had some injuries late in the season. He should be really happy with his development, and we’re really excited about his prospects in 2016.
