George Horlin-Smith
Was in brilliant touch in the midfield in Geelong’s big VFL win over Frankston on Sunday. Finished the game with 43 disposals, including 23 contested possessions. Hasn’t played in the AFL since round five but is pushing hard for a recall.

Mathew Stokes
Ran around in the VFL for the second weekend on the trot and was again among the Cats’ best players while roaming through the midfield. Racked up 28 disposals, three clearances, six inside-50s and two goals. If the coaches want some more experience in the AFL team for Saturday night’s huge game against the Swans, then Stokes is their man.

Cory Gregson
Youngster was rested on the weekend after previously featuring in all of the Cats’ AFL home and away games this season. His performances on the training track might determine whether he comes straight back into the senior side or returns via the VFL in Sunday’s game against North Ballarat in Ballarat.

Jared Rivers
Returned from knee problems via the VFL in Sunday’s win over Frankston. The veteran defender did what was asked of him, tallying 20 disposals, five marks and a couple of rebound 50s.
