Mathew Stokes
Responded to his demotion from the AFL team in brilliant fashion, racking up 32 disposals in the VFL side’s narrow loss to Essendon at Simonds Stadium on Saturday. Is a good chance to be elevated back to the AFL team for the upcoming clash with the Brisbane Lions in Geelong.

George Horlin-Smith
Has been a consistent performer in the VFL in recent weeks. Was among the Cats’ best midfield performers in the loss to the Bombers, finishing with 22 disposals and five inside-50s and four rebound-50s.

Jed Bews
Was selected in the Cats’ first 14 AFL games of the season, but headed back to the VFL to find some touch on the weekend. Finished with 12 disposals and four marks. Is some chance to be recalled to the AFL team this week to play on one of the Lions' small forwards.

Nakia Cockatoo
Has been an impressive contributor in the VFL in recent weeks while playing mostly across half-back. Won nine disposals against Essendon on Saturday and did enough to keep himself in the frame for an AFL recall.
