GEELONG skipper Joel Selwood will endeavour to change his tackling technique after copping a one-match suspension for rough conduct against North Melbourne's Sam Wright.

Selwood spoke about the controversial tackle in an interview with CatsTV on Tuesday, shortly after accepting the penalty offered to him by the Match Review Panel.

"I was very disappointed in the way it ended up looking," Selwood told CatsTV.

"Obviously you can watch slow-mo, and I agree it's not a great look for the game."

However, Selwood was pleased with Wright's comments on Monday, in which he stated the incident had been overblown.

"I didn't mean to be malicious in the tackle," Selwood said. "He appreciates that I didn't try and hurt him in the tackle."
