James Kelly
The veteran midfielder/defender hasn't played since suffering an ankle injury against Port Adelaide in round 11. Kelly was not selected for the cancelled game against the Crows, but is very much in contention to line up against the Kangaroos on Saturday night. His performance on the training track this week will determine whether he is selected or not.

Jimmy Bartel
The champion 31-year-old was supposed to return from a serious knee injury in the AFL team's clash with Adelaide, but the cancellation of that match meant he returned to action in Geelong's VFL loss to Casey Scorpions on Saturday. Bartel was named best on ground after tallying 30 disposals and seven clearances. He will return to AFL footy in Saturday night's clash with North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

Dawson Simpson
The giant ruckman was picked in the AFL team to play the Crows but, like Bartel and Billie Smedts, ended up running around in the VFL match against Casey Scorpions. Simpson finished with 14 disposals, 34 hit-outs, eight clearances and six tackles.

Billie Smedts
The small defender was named on the extended bench for the AFL game against Adelaide but ended up playing in the VFL. He ended the match with 16 disposals and eight tackles.

Jake Kolodjashnij
The defender, who made his AFL debut against Melbourne in round 12, was named on the extended bench for the Adelaide game. He ended up playing in the VFL and was among the Cats’ better performers in the loss to the Scorpions.

Michael Luxford
The ever-improving midfielder was named on the extended bench for the Crows game but joined a host of other AFL squad members in the VFL. He finished with 17 disposals and four tackles.

Jarrad Jansen
The young West Australian was named on the extended bench for the Crows game, then lined up in the VFL. He was named second-best on ground in the loss to Casey Scorpions after tallying 21 disposals, five clearances, five tackles and a goal. Jansen demonstrated his versatility by playing through the midfield and at full-forward.

George Horlin-Smith
The fourth-year midfielder has been troubled by a knee injury in the past month or so, but he returned to action in the VFL on Saturday and was named among the Cats’ best players. He finished the game with 21 disposals, five clearances and seven tackles.
