GEORGE Horlin-Smith is set to return to the park this weekend, although it remains to be seen whether he plays in the VFL or AFL.

The 22-year-old has been battling groin and hip soreness in recent weeks, but the injury has improved markedly in the past few days.

“Horlo had some adductor tightness last week, so we took a precaution and sat him out,” Cats physio Mark Young said on the round nine episode of nib Medical Room.

“He’s trained really well with the boys. He’ll be a test for this week.”

nib Medical Room also includes updates from Young on:

* Dean Gore (neck, shoulder nerve pain)

* Nathan Vardy (knee)
