MATHEW Stokes is set to miss at least one match after being diagnosed with a minor achilles tendon strain.

Stokes' injury, which he suffered during the first half of the Cats' win over Gold Coast on Sunday, is among the issues discussed in the latest edition of nib Medical Room.

"Stokesy had some achilles soreness during the game, and that's why we had to take him out of the game," club physio Mark Young said.

"He's feeling better. Scans have shown no significant damage.

"However, he's unlikely to play this week."

In the latest edition of nib Medical Room, Young also speaks about Jimmy Bartel's knee injury and Tom Lonergan's concussion.
