VFL: Snaps and Stats

Sam Blease
Has consistently been among the Cats' best players in the VFL. Picked up 21 disposals in the win over Werribee and also laid nine tackles and won eight clearances.

Dean Gore
The powerfully built draftee continued his impressive form in the VFL by tallying 24 disposals, nine tackles and seven clearances against Werribee on Friday night. "I think the way Dean plays is the way Geelong footy club would like Dean to play, so that’s really good," Cats VFL coach Paul Hood said of Gore after the game. "He’s doing everything he can, a tremendous worker off the track and on the track. He’s been a model first-year player so far."

Jared Rivers
The experienced defender lined up in the VFL on Friday night, finishing with 13 disposals and eight marks. If fellow key backman Tom Lonergan is unable to play against the Kangaroos on Sunday, Rivers will be almost certain to play.

George Horlin-Smith
Was dropped from the AFL team in the wake of the loss to Fremantle, but didn't play at any level on the weekend because he was an emergency for the AFL clash with Gold Coast. Shapes as a ready-made replacement for Jimmy Bartel.

Billie Smedts
Missed the Gold Coast game due to suspension. Probably more likely than not to come back via the VFL, but the Cats' injury problems means he is very much in the mix to line up against North Melbourne.

Jake Kolodjashnij
A very consistent performer down back in the VFL so far this season. Continued his impressive run by being named second-best on ground in the win over Werribee. He not only beat his opponent but also pushed forward and made an impact on the scoreboard. "He defended really well," Hood said. "But then to attack and kick two goals, two really good goals, were very important in the context of a tight game."

Hamish McIntosh
Keeps putting his hand up with solid performances in the VFL. Tallied 14 disposals, 32 hit-outs and five clearances against Werribee.

Tom Hawkins
Missed the win over Gold Coast due to family reasons. A decision on his availability to line up against North Melbourne will be made later in the week.
