Following a welcoming civic reception in Anglesea to kick off the AFL's Australia Post community camp, the Cats split into four groups and made their way to a number of primary and secondary schools, clinics, as well as nursing homes within the Surf Coast Shire.

Whilst 37 Cats were busily meeting and introducing themselves to the locals from Lorne, Torquay and in between, a smaller group of eight Cats ventured out to the countryside to a small farming town in the South West of Victoria called Derrinallum.

There the Cats took part in a leadership session with secondary students, conducted a super clinic at the local footy ground, and enjoyed a community lunch with all the primary schools in the district.

View the gallery below to catch what your favourite Cats got up to on their first day of community camp.

Don't forget everyone is invited to join the Cats at Adventure Park, Wallington, this afternoon from 4pm to 6:30pm for the closing ceremony of the 2015 community camp. ENTRY IS FREE!
