Day one of training has often been compared to a child's first day at school. And for the new Cats starting their AFL careers on Monday, one of the first things received was their new uniform complete with their new numbers.

First pick Nakia Cockatoo received the club's most famous number, 5. Cory Gregson was handed 28, Dean Gore received 15 and Gippsland's Jordan Cunico the number 31.
