The two Lions likely to cause the most havoc this Saturday night at the Cattery are Tom Rockliff and Pearce Hanley.

As Brisbane approaches their final game for 2014, AFL journalist Adam McNicol believes both midfielders carry the potential to come out firing.

During five games this year, Rockliff has raked in an extraordinary total of 40 touches and higher. Currently he sits on an impressive average of 33 disposals, five marks and nine tackles per game.

“Rockliff gets about 40 touches a game, he’s an amazing player,” McNicol says.

“So what we know is that Rockliff is their real bull, he’s their in-and-under specialist, he’s really the heart and soul of the team.

"But Pearce Hanley is probably their most damaging player, he’s a magnificent kick of the footy and can kick it at 60 metres."

This year the Irish recruit has averaged 25 possessions, five marks and four tackles per game. Statistically, Hanley doesn’t appear to be as dangerous as Rockliff, however, his pace on the ball increases his danger levels.

“I would think they (the Cats) probably want to shutdown Hanley first, because Hanley is the one that can gain all the metres,” McNicol said.

“Rockliff is the one that gets it to Hanley, so ok you might want to cut off the supply, but I think Hanley is the most damaging weapon the Lions have got.”
