Deserving Cat Harry Taylor has been awarded the 10 votes from senior coaches for the AFLCA Awards after producing a best on ground performance against the firing Dockers on Saturday night.

The in-form defender took a career high of 19 marks and led the Cats in disposals along with Corey Enright and Joel Selwood with a team high of 27 touches each.

Following Taylor were defending comrades Andrew Mackie and Corey Enright.

Despite taking an accidental knee to the head in the third quarter, Mackie still managed to steal four votes for his gallant effort, which consisted of two monstrous goals, 22 touches and seven marks.

Overall, the Cats defence force were a key factor in Saturday night’s victory with Corey Enright also earning four votes for his quality performance of 27 touches and seven marks.

Next on the voting list were Tom Hawkins and Mitch Duncan with three votes each.

Although Hawkins only managed to score one goal, his contested performance was game changing, with 12 of his 14 disposals taken within the heat of the contest including a delivery of five inside-50s.    

Duncan scored two goals, 23 touches and eight inside-50s.
