This week against a hungry pack of Giants, the Cats took out the top votes from senior coaches for this year’s AFLCA Champion Awards.

Saturday night Geelong’s leading man, Joel Selwood, was back in full swing.

The young skipper was handed out 10 votes for his high performance of 39 disposals at 72% efficiency, four clearances and one goal.

Next to follow Selwood was Geelong veteran Steve Johnson with eight votes.

Failing to miss a beat all night, Johnson raked in 30 touches, 12 marks and a team-high of three goals.

Harry Taylor also deserved to pick up a bag of four votes for his performance of 30 disposals, nine marks and five rebound-50s.

Selwood now sits on top of Geelong's leaderboard with a total of 57 votes, followed by Johnson on 48 and Bartel on 36.
