Geelong’s ominous skipper, Joel Selwood, again received a total of 10 votes from the coaches for his gallant performance against the Eagles on Saturday night.

The young captain mopped up the park with 27 disposals, nine marks, four clearances and three cheer raising goals.

Selwood now sits on top of the AFL Coaches Association voting tally with a total of 34 votes, which has put him 14 votes ahead of Gary Ablett who sits in second place.

Following Selwood, Chris Scott and Adam Simpson shared the votes evenly among Cameron Guthrie, Steve Johnson and Mathew Stokes giving them four votes each.
