Geelong has brought premiership heroes Paul Chapman and Tom Hawkins back into the side to face Sydney this week.

Chapman who hasn't played AFL football since the round four clash with the Swans and Hawkins who missed last week's clash with the Eagles replace Josh Walker and Jordan Murdoch who have both been omitted.

Chapman's form in the last three clashes for the Cats VFL team has seen him regain his spot whilst Hawkins was cleared to play by club medical staff this week.

The Cats have only lost twice to Sydney since 2006, with the Swans 13 point win in Rd23, 2011 the only time the Cats have lost at home in the past 42 games at Simonds Stadium.

This game will also mark the 1000th VFL/AFL game played in Geelong. The Swans have played in 100 games in the city making them the opposition side who has ventured most down the highway.
