Geelong Cats captain Patrick Dangerfield is expected to return for Saturday night’s clash against Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.

Cats coaches took a conservative approach in managing the midfielder’s return, but coach Chris Scott confirmed after the game that Dangerfield will be ready to take on the Lions.

The Cats emerged from the Round 5 clash with a clean bill of health, with Tom Hawkins (managed) and Jake Kolodjashnij (managed) also expected to be available for the trip to Brisbane.

Gary Rohan made a successful return via the VFL on Sunday in his first game for 2024 after a back complaint delayed his start to the season.

The Cats take on Brisbane at the Gabba this Saturday, before a home game at the MCG the following week against Carlton, on Saturday 27 April. Sign up as a member or secure your tickets for the Round 7 clash today.
