Geelong midfielder Jhye Clark has been sanctioned by the AFL’s Match Review panel for rough conduct and has been fined.

The second game Cat was officially cited for Rough Conduct (Dangerous Tackle) on St.Kilda’s Jack Steele during the second quarter of Saturday night’s eight point win over the Saints.

Clark’s conduct was graded as careless conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a $3,125 fine, or $2,500 with an early plea.

The 19 year old had 13 touches, two clearances, four inside 50s and two score involvements in the Cats’ Round 1 win, and recently signed a one year contract extension that will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2025.

Geelong travel to Adelaide to take on the Crows this Friday night at Adelaide Oval.
