Geelong has reached 30,000 members as the club continues to push for a new membership record in 2014.

The Cats are seeking to reach 50,000 for the first time and have introduced a range of member activities aimed at maximising the member experience.

“We are pleased that so many members have already committed for the 2014 season,” Geelong’s general manager of commercial operations Steve Hocking said.

“Surpassing 30,000 members is fantastic at this point. It is one of the milestones that we had set ourselves to achieve before February and to have done that is a credit to our members. We are close to 2,000 members ahead of this time last year and have over 2,000 supporters that have signed up as new members.

“Our mantra this year is #belongeelong and we are thrilled that so many supporters have embraced that theme and already committed to the club.

“There is a wide range of member packages that start at $50. Our team has shown great drive and commitment over the years and there has never been a better time to be a Geelong member.”

Supporters can sign up online at http://membership.geelongcats.com.au/ or alternatively by calling 1300 GO CATS or in person at the membership department adjacent to the Cats Shop at Simonds Stadium.
