The Cats have made three changes for the inaugural Powercor Country Program match against Essendon at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Lonergan, Cory Gregson and Jordan Murdoch have come into the side, while Corey Enright is having a rest and Lincoln McCarthy and Jake Kolodjashnij have been omitted.

McCarthy and Kolodjashnij have been named in the Cats' VFL team to play the Northern Blues at Simonds Stadium on Friday night.

Lonergan missed last weekend's win over the Brisbane Lions due to a calf niggle, while Murdoch was sidelined by general soreness and Gregson was omitted but didn't play in the VFL due to being the AFL emergency.
