The Cats have made two changes for Friday night's preliminary final against the Sydney Swans at the MCG.

Lachie Henderson is back after recovering from his knee injury, while Jed Bews has been recalled.

Henderson has been named in a back pocket, although there has been some speculation about him spending time up forward.

The unlucky players to miss out are Daniel Menzel, who has been sidelined by groin soreness, and Tom Ruggles, who has been omitted.

The emergencies are Nakia Cockatoo, Shane Kersten and Ruggles.
