We've had an amazing journey these past few years. Now in 2011 we have our new Coach Chris Scott at the helm and an impressive player list which combines enthusiastic youngsters and older players with a strong record of achievement.
I'm honoured to have been elected President of the Geelong Football Club, and like all of us, express gratitude for achievements of past-President Frank Costa OAM, who is, of course, continuing his involvement with the Club as our Patron.
No matter what this season brings, the foundations for sustained success are being put in place. And that’s what we all want — sustained success. When you’re passionate about the Geelong Football Club, you want Geelong to be strong and successful forever — for our children and grandchildren, and for generations to come.
There’s a way YOUR passion and commitment can help make Geelong strong forever — by joining the Geelong Cats Forever bequest club.
When you leave a bequest you are welcomed to a special supporters’ group known as the Geelong Cats Forever bequest club. You’ll receive a unique lapel pin and a membership certificate as well as invitations to special Geelong Cats Forever bequest club events with current and past players, and your name will be included on the Honour Board on display in the Premiership Stand. You’ll also receive special annual updates so you can see the kind of work your bequest will support.
The Geelong Cats Forever bequest club, led by Patron, Fred Flanagan, enables supporters like you and me to leave a bequest to help Geelong stay strong. Of course, you'll take care of your family and loved ones first but then please consider your "other" family – the Geelong Cats.
Your bequest is securely invested, and only the earnings are used to help Geelong grow and stay strong and successful. Because the Geelong Football Club will only use the earnings on your bequest, it means your bequest will benefit the Club FOREVER. This is your opportunity to give a permanent gift to benefit our Geelong Cats – a gift to support our team into the future. Funds will be used to improve our facilities, our training programs, and to ensure we have ongoing access to state-of-the-art facilities. Our aim is to provide what is needed to create a winning environment for our boys — now and in the future.
