COACHING CAREER

Max Rooke was named as a development coach for the Cats in October 2011. He will work mainly with the club’s young players.

Rooke took his first steps into coaching in 2011 as assistant coach of local team Newtown.

PLAYING CAREER

A Skilled Stadium favourite, Rooke played a variety of roles over his nine years with the Cats. He started as a defender, moved to a run-with role and finished as a centre half forward.

A key member of the 2007 and 2009 premiership teams, Rooke was among the best on grand final day 2009. Rooke booted 58 goals in his 135 game career with the Cats, and he was named as most determined & dedicated player in 2003.
